One of our proudest achievements at CAGA Pottery is being
honored as the official creator of handcrafted ceramic pieces
for the award ceremony of the Tourism Authority of Thailand
(Hong Kong Office) during the Thai Festival 2025 in Hong Kong.
TROPHY DESIGN FOR THAI FESTIVAL
HONG KONG 2025
CONCEPT & STORY
The inspiration for our work derives from the traditional mural
paintings of graceful dancers at Wat Pho in Bangkok - a
treasured cultural heritage of Thailand. This artistic vision is
meticulously combined with CAGA Pottery's signature
multi-stage handcrafting and glazing techniques. Furthermore,
the design elegantly incorporates the beauty of the "Bauhinia"
flower, the national emblem of Hong Kong, symbolizing a
harmonious blend of the two rich cultures through refined
craftsmanship.
CRAFTSMANSHIP
The design of this special piece was a collaboration between
Mr. Somphob Pholvicha, artist and founder of CAGA Pottery,
and Mr. Naovarat Suwanprateep, a master sculptor with over
30 years of experience in the field of fine arts. Together, they
meticulously conceptualized and crafted this work with the
intention of presenting the beauty of Thai culture to an
international audience, ensuring that this piece of art would
be accessible and appreciated by all.
